30th Anniversary of EPA’s Climate Partnership Â鶹´«Ã½s
Just over thirty years ago, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency launched its first voluntary climate partnership program, Green Lights. Â鶹´«Ã½ University joined this program in 1994. Today we are among tens of thousands of organizations that are voluntarily reducing emissions by partnering with the EPA. Our current collaboration includes the EPA Green Power Partnership which recognizes Â鶹´«Ã½'s commitment to purchasing electricity from renewable sources.
Over thirty years, EPA's Climate Partnership Â鶹´«Ã½s like Green Power Partnership have helped Americans save more than $500 billion and achieve more than 6 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, a total which exceeds all U.S. carbon dioxide emissions in 2019.
